McConnell Lands Grant For UK

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced Wednesday the U.S. Department of Energy will invest nearly $2.23 million in federal funding for the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (UK CAER).This grant will be in addition to the $934,554 in federal funding McConnell helped get in 2018.This money will be used for UK CAER’s carbon capture project. This project is aimed to build upon their development of cost-effective, clean coal technologies in Kentucky.
